This is what I call my new beautiful home! For those out there who definitely don't know me, my name is Laura Alejandra Jimenez, and if there's something you should know about me it's that you will never get me to stop talking! I'm serious, I'm a Gemini and we really love a good conversation. Now to get started with how life as a UT RTF (Radio-Television-Film) major has been so far for me...where do I start?!? In the first place being in Austin alone is a huge world compared to my own heap of a town called Eagle Pass, Texas, and secondly I'm simply in love with this place... I REALLY AM! The University of Texas at Austin has already started opening my eyes on what great possibilities are out there as a whole, and if there's something I've learned already, it's to pursue what you are definitely passionate for. I have heard this about 3-4 times while being in my UGS course with Dr. Moore who is extremely determined to get each and every one of his students to really explore themselves as much as possible and reach out to their passion. I am proud to say I am pursuing what I am passionate for. My RTF courses so far have demonstrated to be exciting and full of creativity in only one week’s time! Not even one week’s time considering classes have just begun this Wednesday!! I'm sure as I learn more and more of the different routes I can take in my major, I will eventually set my mind on just one thing, or maybe two. Why limit yourself? At the moment, television seems to be more what I'm looking for since I have been interested in, because of my high school's local television show. By the way here's a quick clip for you to watch.... it's probably not that great (in my opinion) but it was definitely fun participating! All in all I hope the rest of this wonderful year continues being as awesome as it started!
